I rented a uhaul here recently and the lady assisting me didn\\u2019t tell me she was charging my card more than the uhaul reservation stated. I tried calling the office and it went straight to voicemail even though I had just left the storage facility with the uhaul and the lady was at the front desk. I live too far and had too much to do so I decided I would try calling later. Each time I called the phone went to voicemail. When I returned the uhaul van, I did as the lady advised and put my key in the drop box. She stated the office is closed on Sunday so when she gets in Monday she would ensure to only charge me for 2 days. Today I got a notification from my credit card company that she still charged me for an additional day. I immediately disputed the charges and contacted uhaul. U-Haul provided me with a refund but did not assist with the additional charges I incurred upon pick up outside the original uhaul invoice. I\\u2019m left feeling like this whole rental process is a scam and that you can\\u2019t even trust this company or business with your card information. Not only is she clearly very good at her job, she is so enjoyable to speak with. She gave us great advice that we used for our move. I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Penny at the Front Office, not only for myself, but my Aunt who also has Unit G11 there for 15 years. I absolutely love Penny! I was going through a horrific time with personal losses and life changing events and she treated me as though I were family. She is kind, compassionate and business savvy. She made the \\\"move in\\\" and \\\"move out\\\" experience seamless. I was so stressed because I had two small leaf piles that blew in my unit during my usage and Penny took care of it for me herself, no charge. Most importantly, because I had paid ahead through the end of 2025, she called the Accounting Office for me to have my refund direct deposited into my checking account on file, rather than make me wait to receive a check in the mail much later. Wh3n my Mom passed away on December 1, 2023, Penny was so kind to me and our entire family. My Aunt \\\"Joan,\\\" who is almost 93, loves Penny too. She affectionately refers to her as \\\"Joanie\\\" and always asks how she is doing and if there is anything she can do to help. Yes, she runs that business but, she ALWAYS, ALWAYS puts her clients first. Of all the businesses I have to close accounts with here in NJ, Penny is who I will miss the most. Instead of the employee recognizing my urgency of getting a van and my discomfort with her questions, she persisted in asking two more times for my information.  When I would not reveal that information but told her I would call the next location myself, this RUDE employee told me \\\"I could get out of her place of business and make my call from outside\\\".  Should I mention that the temp was below 30 degrees.     What she didn't realize is that I was and am a local business owner myself.  When I confronted her about her rude and unprofessional behavior, she didn't seem to care.
