Storage Star added $ 15.00 a month for insurance without my permission, and never informed me that this charge would be added. The web site is difficult to navigate and use, it took 5 minutes for me to file a move out form Oct 9. I was then billed $ 234.00 monthly fee on Oct 14. I had a total of five units. I am happy with the location. It has had Rodent problems , I have found rat droppings on top of storage bins.\\nWhen Storage star took over they gave notice that all rent was being raised up $100 per unit, a small $85 unit was raised to $185 per month. The larger units went from $240 to $340 per unit, then they decided you needed insurance at $15 Dollars per month.\\nAt some point it appears they raised the $340 per month to $365 Per month.\\n\\nTo add insult to a customer of over 10 years, they currently are offering the same unit. I rent cheaper than they raised my rent to. I understand the dollar move-in incentive for the first month, but a new person monthly rent is actually lower than somebody that had been there for over 10 years.\\n\\nI moved out of three of the units last year and I\\u2019m still waiting for my refund of my deposit for almost a year. I believe they\\u2019ve gone through over five managers so far the people and the managers that I speak to are always very helpful. At the end of the day, nothing happens and I still do not have my refund.\\n\\nI have now moved out of my fourth unit and as soon as I have time, I will move out of the fifth and last unit that I have with them.\\n\\nIf you can afford the high rates, I believe the place is secure The buildings are sprinkler love the location. It is located in a beautiful, peaceful place where you feel like you are going on a vacation instead of going to look at all your junk. I like that you can drive right up to your unit and do what you need to do. My stuff got somewhat dusty\\/dirty in there because it is not an air tight sealed space, but nothing ever got wet or anything. In that regard, the storage unit is well protected. It's safe and quiet in Storage Heaven and there's a nice trail right nearby that you can go for a hike to decompress after seeing all your junk that you can't quite deal with. The staff is really nice.
