We were moving and needed a place to store everything we owned. Move in process was easy. We routinely checked on our items and there was occasionally bugs. When we moved out we found that there was RODENT FECES AND URINE all over our couch and items. We had to throw out a lot of things. Then they increased prices by $100\\/month. Signed all the documents, sent them back, get welcome letter, set up payment, I moved stuff into storage unit. One month later they notify me I'm locked out because somethings not signed. Go back and forth trying to get whatever they want signed, re-signed. 2 months later I notify them I am moving out and give them a move out date. They send me an acknowledgement letter, telling me to take picture at move out. I took picture of empty unit on move out date and sent it to them. 2 weeks later I get an invoice for the next month (after move out) I notify them I had moved out and it was acknowledged and photo sent. Then get a notice of pending late fee. I AGAIN TELL THEM I HAVE MOVED OUT AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT FACT. You cannot get anyone on the phone direct. Also the gate code that is assigned to you doesn't always work so they will give you a general code for all to use and that is if you happen to go during office hours. If you so happen to go outside of office hours- good luck trying to access your unit. Save yourself the frustration and use any other storage facility. That was the ONLY mention of money paid. 3 hours after talking on the phone, I went to empty my unit, upon which I found myself locked out of the facility via the gate. No matter how many days I was late on a payment, I was NEVER locked out the facility, they only put a padlock on my unit (I forgot to pay a couple times, not a big deal). Now all of a sudden, I\\u2019m locked out of the facility entirely. The next day, September 6th, I all of a sudden get an email that I\\u2019m late and owe a bunch of money. Never before got these emails about being late, never had to pay a late fee, none of that. It\\u2019s VERY suspicious that the day after talking to them, I am now locked out. I was told that if payment was not made on the 1st of the month, that the gate access code won\\u2019t work. What\\u2019s funny is I emptied most of my unit over Labor Day weekend. How did I have access the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th if I was already late? Why is it that the same day I mentioned vacating, I\\u2019m now locked out and being told I owe a bunch of money? Why is it that when I spoke to Amanda, I was never told I had to pay for September before I\\u2019d be able to get my stuff? Let them have the 3 boxes of junk, and an old beat up fire pit, all of which is garbage. He explained that we had not signed a new contract with StorSafe. Paul pulled up the contract after we provided him with the information he needed from us. He explained the hours and access process and allowed us to go upstairs and locate our units. We accomplished much more than anyone could have expected in such a short time.
